Pirelli confirms team tyre selections for Spa
Pirelli has confirmed the tyre selections made by all 10 Formula 1 teams for the Belgian Grand Prix at the end of the month, with Red Bull and McLaren taking the most aggressive route.
In response to the more conservative nature of its compounds in 2017, Pirelli will bring the ultra-soft tyre to the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps for the first time.
Red Bull and McLaren have taken advantage of Pirelli's decision, stacking up with nine sets of ultra-softs for its drivers.
Daniel Ricciardo, Max Verstappen and Stoffel Vandoorne will all head to Spa with the minimum of one set of softs, as will the Williams pair of Felipe Massa and Lance Stroll, both of whom will take more super-softs than the rest of the field.
Mercedes and Ferrari have opted for fairly similar choices, with a slight variation between Lewis Hamilton and Valtteri Bottas' soft and super-soft totals. With four sets of softs, Hamilton has the most conservative tyre picks in the field.
