Maserati, the main sponsor of the event, consolidates its relationship with the world of cinema by hosting an exclusive space in the central Piazza Castello dedicated to meetings, events and press conferencesof the national and international stars expected in Turin for the TFF.

The opening ceremony, presented by newly appointed Festival Director Paolo Virzi and multifaceted comedienne Luciana Littizzetto, was enhanced by spectacular performances by circus artists and music by 'The orchestrino' band, that accompanied the talents on the red carpet escorting them with live music as they got out of the elegant Maserati Quattroporte and Ghibli cars.

The American film director Jon Turteltaub, whose latest film Last Vegas, inaugurated the Turin Film Festival, is a great lover of luxury sports cars and of the Quattroporte in particular and thus displayed due reverence as he arrived on the red carpet.

The Maserati Press Lounge came to life today, opening its doors to a Festival that promises to be an extremely interesting one. First on the Maserati Press Lounge podium was director Jon Turteltaub, who made his debut in Italian, saying: 'I have two dreams: to win a festival and to win a Maserati. So thanks Maserati '. Turteltaub presents his hilarious comedy 'Last Vegas', greatly received by the audience at the Lingotto Auditorium, with an exceptional cast that includes Robert De Niro, Michael Douglas, Morgan Freeman and Kevin Kline.
