Björk is WTCC Race of Argentina-bound via a royal appointment
FIA World Touring Car Championship title contender Thed Björk will shortly be jetting off for WTCC Race of Argentina - just as soon as he's partnered Prince Carl Philip of Sweden in the latest Swedish GT counter at Falkenberg this weekend.
The Polestar Cyan Racing pairing won the opening round of the championship at Knutstorp in May, with Prince Carl Philip heading the standings on 43 points ahead of the Ferrari duo of Fredrik Larsson and Ingvar Mattsson.
"I am bringing the positivity from the WTCC where we are in a very strong position," said Björk. "My mission for Falkenberg is to get Prince Carl Philip into the best possible situation to fight for the victory and stay on top of the championship. I think we have everything we need to do just that. But with that said, the competition is strong and we need to be on our toes."
Alexander Murdzevski, Head of Motorsport at Polestar, said: "We are happy to be back racing on Swedish soil again. The race at Falkenberg is a great tradition in Swedish motorsport and provides good racing. We have an exciting race weekend ahead of us with our front runners from the WTCC and Swedish GT racing together."
