80th Rallye Automobile Monte Carlo

- The Automobile Club de Monaco has selected a 3.58 km route for the traditional shakedown scheduled for Tuesday 17th January 2012. To avoid displacing rescue vehicles, the start of the stage in Drome is located only 8 kilometres from the Parc des Expositions in Valence, where the Service park for stages set in Ardeche, Drome and Haute-Loire is located.

- With 428.2 km of special stages (17 S.S. in total), the "Monte" is returning to the World Rally Championship with a substantially longer course than its last WRC event (2008), which covered about 300 km.

- The Power Stage will be held on Sunday morning, starting on the D22 at Sainte Agnes (06 - Alpes Maritimes), climbing continuously up a narrow south-facing road, to the Col de la Madone, for 5.16 km.
