WTCR star Guerrieri links up with ex-F1 driver Patrese for Spa 24 Hours
Esteban Guerrieri will join forces with ex-Formula One driver Riccardo Patrese when he makes his debut in the 24 Hours of Spa later this month.
Guerrieri, who drives for ALL-INKL.COM Münnich Motorsport in the WTCR - FIA World Touring Car Cup presented by OSCARO, has already been confirmed as part of the Castrol Honda Racing line-up to drive an NSX GT3 alongside Belgian Bertrand Baguette.
Now Italian legend Patrese (centre) and French journalist and racer Loïc Depailler, son of the late Patrick Depailler, have been selected to complete the four-driver team.
"It's really cool to have Riccardo Patrese and Loïc Depailler, joining Bertrand and I in the car at Spa," said Guerrieri, pictured right. "When I was young and watching grand prix racing on TV, Riccardo was one of the most famous and successful drivers and I saw some nice battles between his Williams and the McLaren-Honda of my hero - Ayrton Senna. Loïc is a car guy through-and-through, but he's also a real racer and has competed at Le Mans, which is really cool. I'm sure there are things we can all learn from each other at Spa and I'm so excited about the race now."
