WTCR race winner Vervisch is the 24-hour man

Fifty-six days after winning for the first time in the WTCR – FIA World Touring Car Cup presented by OSCARO, Frédéric Vervisch was celebrating more success – this time in the 24 Hours of Dubai.

After 607 laps of racing, the Car Collection Motorsport Audi R8 LMS GT3 Vervisch was sharing with team-mates Dimitri Parhofer, Christopher Haase and Rik Breukers took victory with a one-lap advantage over a similar Audi run by the WRT operation from Belgium, the team behind the Audi Sport Leopard Lukoil Team in WTCR / OSCARO.

Chris Reinke, Head of Audi Sport customer racing, said: “Sincere congratulations to our customer teams Car Collection Motorsport and MS7 by WRT on this outstanding success in Dubai.”

Vervisch won Race 2 at WTCR Race of Macau on 18 November 2018. The Belgian was driving an Audi Sport Team Comtoyou RS 3 LMS.
