WTCR customer racing brand Audi highlights “exceptional victory” by paralysed driver

Audi, one of six customer racing brands to win in the WTCR - FIA World Touring Car Cup presented by OSCARO so far in 2018, has highlighted an "exceptional victory by US racer Michael Johnson.

Johnson, who is paralysed from the waist down following a motorcycle accident as a 12-year-old, won the recent IMSA Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge event at Lime Rock, which marked his first touring car victory.

"I have been thinking about this win since my accident," said 25-year-old Johnson, whose driving partner Stephen Simpson was at the wheel of their Audi RS 3 LMS when they triumphed in a photo-finish following two hours of racing.
