WRC stars headline Rallylegend
Craig Breen, Kris Meeke and Mikko Hirvonen will join some of the biggest names in the history of the World Rally Championship at the Rallylegend event in San Marino this weekend (12-14 october).
The trio will take part in a 12-stage asphalt rally that forms part of the celebrations at the annual event, held on the roads of the one of the world's smallest countries.
Breen will drive an example of the Citroën C4 that propelled Sébastien Loeb to four world titles, while Hirvonen, who retired at the end of the 2014 season after amassing 15 WRC wins, will be reunited with the Ford Focus he drove between 2006 and 2010.
Meeke, who climbed aboard Colin McRae's iconic Citroën Xsara at Rallylegend in 2017, returns at the wheel of a Ford Fiesta.
The event will also welcome an array of former WRC stars, including world champions Miki Biasion and Juha Kankkunen. They will be joined by former Lancia factory drivers Markku Alén and Andrea Aghini to celebrate the 50th birthday of Martini Racing.
The Lancia Delta Integrale, which carried Martini branding as it scooped constructors' titles every year between 1987 and 1992, and also powered Kankkunen and Biasion to two drivers' titles apiece, will form the centrepiece of a parade of cars spanning the life of the WRC.
