When two FIA championships united in Slovakia

Two major FIA championships joined forces at the Slovakia Ring earlier this month as the WTCR - FIA World Touring Car Cup presented by OSCARO and FIA European Truck Racing Championship headed east.

To mark the occasion, drivers from both series took part in a photo call ahead of the event, while WTCR OSCARO drivers Mato Homola, Norbert Michelisz, Pepe Oriola and Gordon Shedden enjoyed high-speed passenger rides with the ETRC counterparts.

Afterwards, Norbert Michelisz - who won Race 3 at WTCR Race of Slovakia - said he would be happy to share the bill with ETRC again in the future.

"I always wanted to visit a truck race, but I've never been able to that in Hungary. Because of that I was really happy when I heard we were coming to Slovakia with the FIA European Truck Racing Championship. I think it's something really good and if possible we should do it more often. As a fan, as a spectator, having a crowded race weekend with qualify race series is always very nice. I watched the first truck race from the grandstand and it was an amazing atmosphere. I really hope we will have races like this in the future."
