Tidemand aims to strike back in WRC 2
Pontus Tidemand leads a 10-car entry in the WRC 2 category at this weekend's YPF Rally Argentina (26-29 april) as he looks to reclaim his championship lead from Skoda Motorsport team-mate Jan Kopecky.
The Fabia driver returns to WRC 2 after electing to miss the Corsica linea - Tour de Corse earlier this month. He lies seven points behind Kopecky in the championship standings. However, with Kopecky skipping this weekend's event, the reigning WRC 2 champion has the opportunity to leapfrog his Czech rival.
After his first start of the season at Rally Guanajuato Mexico, 17-year-old rising star Kalle Rovanperä will make his second appearance of the year for Skoda and will look to learn from the experienced Tidemand - winner of last year's South American event.
Also looking to build on a good result in Mexico is Gus Greensmith. The Briton finished second in Guanajuato and is back in the championship hunt in Argentina after electing to compete in Corsica outside of the WRC 2 category.

Nil Solans will also be taking to Argentina's gravel stages this weekend and the Ford Fiesta driver will be keen to rebuild his championship momentum after an opening stage crash in Corsica relegated him to a seventh-place finish.
A number of South American drivers are also on the entry list. Pedro Heller, who took third place in Mexico, returns in a Fiesta while his brother Alberto is also taking part in an M-Sport prepared car. Marquito Bulacia will also take the wheel of a Fiesta in the Villa Carlos Paz-based rally.
Completing the 10-car entry are a pair of Skodas for Gustavo Saba and Tiago Weiler, while Diego Dominguez will drive a Hyundai i20 R5.
