Le Mans - The Nissan DeltaWing as viewed by three French drivers
Olivier Lombard, Franck Mailleux and Jordan Tresson, the crew of No.23 Signatech Nissan ORECA 03 - Nissan, speak about the No.0 Highcroft Racing Nissan DeltaWing which this year is occupying 'Garage 56' in the 80th Le Mans 24 Hours Le Mans. That designation is for cars dedicated to new technologies. They share a common passion: driving it!
Jordan Tresson: "I find the Nissan DeltaWing really beautiful, it deserves its place in the 56th pit of the 24 Hours of Le Mans. I would be happy if one day I had the opportunity to take the wheel, because I'm really curious about how it behaves."
Olivier Lombard: "This is a very innovative car, both by its appearance and its engine, and it has a big impact on the public. I watched it go by several times, it seems easy to drive. It is very fast in a straight line (308 km/h), but it seems a little slower cornering. It is quite easy to overtake."
Franck Mailleux: "Sure, the Nissan DeltaWing has great potential. Top speed is really impressive. From the outside, you wouldn't think you're dealing with a race car, because we are so used to seeing prototypes with large front ends which generate a lot of downforce."
