Latvia's Janis Baumais and Russia's Timur Timerzyanov switched to new team STARD for the 2017 FIA World Rallycross Championship. Together they scored 176 points and finished sixth in the Teams' Championship points.

Qualifying Race Wins

Timerzyanov won two qualifying races in Norway and Canada, but didn't win a single race in Barcelona, Latvia and Germany. Baumanis won one race on seven occasions, including the in final four rounds.

Semi-final starts:

The STARD pair were almost equal on semi-final starts. Both made the semi-finals for the first time at round two in Portugal. Timerzyanov was stronger in the first half of the season, but he didn't make the semis in any of the last four rounds. Baumanis meanwhile made the semis from Sweden (round seven) until the end of the year.

Timerzyanov always goes well in Norway and made the final in Hell to finish sixth. Baumanis made two final starts, in Sweden he finished sixth and scored his best result at home in Latvia, where he was fifth.

20 points separated the two drivers at the end of the year, Timerzyanov only out qualifying Baumanis three times in the Intermediate Classifications.

The pair finished side-by-side in the final points, but neither matched their own 2016 results of eighth (TT) and 10th (JB).
