Superstars World set to provide more live TV excitement in Brno
The SUPERSTARS WORLD was back on a roll today at Brno for Round 2 of the 2013 season. The GTSPRINT INTERNATIONAL SERIES was the first to go on-track for Practice 1 and it was a Ferrari to prevail with the father-son duo of Alexander Talkanitsa Sr and Jr. who had prevailed in Race 1 at Monza.
Race Day is expected even more spectacular than ever thanks to the excitement provided on-track by Teams and Drivers which will be also available to a massive audience. The fans at home will be relying on the series' sensational TV coverage on Sunday including 195 different territories and 205 broadcasters, while the races will be televised live in 61 countries. The action will kick-off at 9.15 with the running of GTSPRINT Race 1, followed by SUPERSTARS Race 1 later in the same morning at 12. Race 2 for SUPERSTARS will go underway at 16.10 while GTSPRINT Race 2 will round out the day's schedule at 17.30.
Back to today's free session, second place overall and the GTS3 lead went to another Ferrari 458, the one fielded by RPD Racing for Slovakian Lubomir Jakubik and Czech Michael Vorba. The Maranello-based constructor complete a top-3 sweep with Dino & Co Racing Team and Slovakians Patrik Tkac and Andrj Studenic.
More top competition is also set to come from BMW and Audi. The BMW Alpina B6, lined-up by Racing Trevor and driven by Hungarian Attila Barta and Slovakian Miro Konopka, had its maiden outing in the championship in Czech Republic while the MTM Audi R8 LMS welcomed Swede Johan Kristoffersson alongside German Thomas Schoffler. The Corvette, Maserati, and Porsche brands brought the manufacturers toll to 6.
Regarding the GTS Cup Trophy, Spaniard Antonio De La Reina and Colombian Steven Goldstein hit the top with the Heaven Motorsport Porsche 997.
