Snow joke for WTCR racers Leuchter and Monteiro

Benjamin Leuchter and Tiago Monteiro were among a number of frustrated racers at the Nürburgring Nordschleife last Saturday after heavy snow forced the early cancellation of the DMV 4-Stunden-Rennen VLN round.

German Leuchter was taking part in a Max Kruse Racing Volkswagen Golf GTI TCR, while Portugal’s Monteiro was competing in a Fugel Motorsport Honda Civic Type R TCR. However, neither got any meaningful race action after the event was abandoned shortly after the start.

Leuchter and Monteiro will be back on duty in the WTCR – FIA World Touring Car Cup presented by OSCARO when the Hungaroring hosts WTCR Race of Hungary from 26-28 April.
