Russian test

The 15th edition of Ladoga Trophy, the partner event of Magam Trophy, has come to the end. The organizers from Poland and Russia decided to exchange the prices and funded the free voucher for participation in the partner event for the best teams (in Poland from the Extreme Class, in Russia from Proto Class). This year Marcin Łukaszewski and Magdalena Duhanik benefited this privilege and used the ticket to cover the cost of branding their car with advertisement.

This year Ladoga Trophy took different route then last year and the new one turned out to be much more difficult. The stake in the Proto Class was higher as well. The leaders imposed the incredible tempo and every day they increased their advantage. Roman Briskindov and Siergiej Bolkov turned out to be unbeatable and with the time 23 h 10 min they won the competition by overtaking Sergiej Halziev and Andriej Paziczew by 3,5 hours! The third place has been taken by the last year winner - Kari Sihvonen, who drove with Tapio Siitonene. Marcin Łukaszewski and Magdalena Duhanik, similarly as last year, got to the ending point at the 4th position (the loss of 13 h 41 min 40 sec).

In the TR3 Class, which took the same track as Proto, the first three places fell to Russians. Two polish teams started in this class, too: Adam Bomba with Arek Nejder and Rafał Płatek with Miron Tkacz.

During 8 days the participants from 20 countries and accompanying them motorcade of service and technical cars overcame over 1200 km and went round Ladoga Lake - the biggest lake in Europe. Whilst covering this distance the cavalcade stopped four times to pitch the camps. The participants overcame 8 special sections. On the route there were wet meadows, which are the obstacles the Ladoga is famous for, as well as muds and clayey roads. The latter gave the teams the hard time. On the third day the time limit was 24 h and the participants had to overcome all together 105 km of clayey and muddy potholes. This stage was the proof that Ladoga is definitely not easy. We are hoping that for the next year Magam Trophy not only the wining team of Roman Briskindov and Siergiej Bolkov would join us from Russia.
