Richard hoping for second WTCR chance

Kris Richard wants another opportunity to show he has what it takes to shine in the WTCR - FIA World Touring Car Cup presented by OSCARO.

The German-speaking former European Touring Car Cup winner was competing on the daunting Nürburging Nordschleife as a wildcard entrant but was unable to deliver on his potential during a difficult event.

"My target was to be in the top 10 here, but I think the mixed weather conditions in free practice set us back and denied us the track time we needed to make sure we had the right settings on the car for the rest of the weekend," said the Swiss. "It's been hard to overtake on the straights here, although the car felt strong in the corners. I hope we have another opportunity to show what we can do at this level later in the year."

Richard finished P17 twice and P19 once in his KCMG-run Honda Civic Type R TCR.
