Renault top management appointments

As of September 1st, 2012, Mr. Stefan MUELLER will join Renault Group and will be appointed EVP, Chairman of Europe Region. Mr. Stefan MUELLER will report to Mr. Carlos TAVARES, Chief Operating Officer of Renault, and will be member of the Group Executive Committee.

As of the same date, Mr. Jérôme STOLL will focus his action on Sales & Marketing and LCV Division as well as on Renault Retail Group. Mr. Jérôme STOLL reports to Mr. Carlos TAVARES, and is member of the Group Executive Committee.

As of September 1st, 2012, Mr. Thierry BOLLORE will join Renault Group. After an induction period, he will be appointed EVP Manufacturing and Supply Chain, as of January 1st, 2013. At this date, Mr. Thierry BOLLORE will report to Mr. Carlos TAVARES, Chief Operating Officer of Renault, and will be member of the Group Executive Committee.

As of January 1st, 2013, Mr. Gérard LECLERCQ will take over other responsibilities that will be announced in a near future, and will remain member of the Group Executive Committee.

Born in 1960, Stefan Mueller is graduated from Würzburg University and has a Master of Business Administration from New York University. He has both German and Swiss nationalities. He started his career in 1986 in Sales & Marketing Division of BMW AG, in Munich. In 1988, he moved to Sales Region Division North America and was appointed Director of Dealer Development in the United-Stated in 1992. He came back to Germany two years later to take in charge the Fleet Business and Direct Customers. In 1998, he became Executive Director of Direct Sales and Project manager on new distribution strategy. He joined Ford Motor Company in 1999, as Director Brand and Distribution Development for Premier Automotive Group, in London, prior to become President Germany and President Central Europe Region for Volvo Car Germany, in Cologne. In 2003, he joined Volkswagen AG, first as Executive Director German Market for Audi, and then as President of Volkswagen Retail GmbH. He was appointed Executive Director German Market for Volkswagen AG in 2006. In 2008, he moved to ADAC e.V., as CEO.


Born in 1954, Jérôme Stoll is graduated from Ecole Supérieure de Commerce de Paris (ESCP and from Centre de Perfectionnement aux Affaires (CPA)). He worked at Renault V.I. from 1980 to 1983, then held a position with the senior management team of Berliet Nigeria, a Renault V.I. subsidiary, between 1983 and 1987. He joined Renault's Finance Department in 1987 and became Finance and Administrative Director at Renault Automation in 1989. He was named Director of Industrial Purchasing in 1995, then Director of Powertrain Purchasing in 1998. Jérôme Stoll became President and CEO of Renault Samsung Motors when it was acquired by Renault in September 2000. On 1 May 2006, he took up the post of Mercosur Director. On February 1, 2009, Jérôme Stoll was appointed Executive Vice President, Sales and Marketing & Light Commercial Vehicles.

Born in 1963, Thierry Bolloré has a Master of Business Administration from Paris-Dauphine. He started his career in 1990 at Michelin, as shop manager in a heavy truck tire factory. In 1993, he became Chief of process and quality central Group for worldwide heavy truck factories, prior to taking the head of method group for heavy truck business units in Europe, South America, Africa and Asia. In 1997, he moved to Japan, as Industrial Assistant of Michelin Passenger car factory, and to Thailand in1998, as production manager in truck factory, before being named Managing Director of Truck and Aircraft Businesses. He was appointed Vice-President in charge of industry for Michelin Aircraft Business worldwide in 2002. Thierry Bolloré joined Faurecia in 2005 to become Vice President Asia of Exhaust Systems Product Group, based in China, and then Vice-President worldwide in charge of Marketing, R&D, Programs, Strategy, Business Development. In 2010, he moved to Faurecia Emissions Control Technologies, as Vice-President in charge of Europe and South Africa prior to becoming Vice-President worldwide, responsible for Industry, Quality and Purchasing.

Born in 1949, Gérard Leclercq is graduated from Ecole Polytechnique. He started his career as a research scientist with the IRSID steel research institute, then joined Usinor in 1975, taking various positions at head office and in manufacturing. He joined Renault in 1989, in charge of the manufacturing progress plan at the Manufacturing Department. He was appointed Assistant General Manager of the Renault Flins plant in 1991, then General Manager in 1993. In May 1999 he became Renault Vice President for Powertrain Manufacturing. In 2007, Gérard Leclercq was appointed member of the Renault Management Committee and took charge of the Group Human Resources Department. In December 2010, he took the charge of the Manufacturing and Supply Chain and entered the Group executive committee.
