Priaulx can’t wait to get on the #WTCR2019SUPERGRID

Andy Priaulx says he can’t wait for the 2019 WTCR – FIA World Touring Car Cup presented by OSCARO season to fire up in Morocco in early April.

The World Touring Car legend is one of seven FIA world title winners confirmed for WTCR / OSCARO duty in 2019.

Winner of the FIA World Touring Car Championship three years running from 2005, Priaulx will drive a Geely Group Motorsport-developed Lynk & Co 03 TCR run by Cyan Racing.

“I have had some monumental battles in my days as a touring car driver and have been privileged to race against some of the finest drivers in this category in the world,” said the Briton. “To say that I am excited about getting back into touring cars is an understatement, and the world champions that I will be racing against are going to make my new challenge even more enjoyable.

“The fact that there are seven of us who have been world champions says an awful lot about the appeal of the WTCR. I know this series already has a lot of fans and I am sure they are going to be entertained royally once we are all back on track.

“I can’t wait for April and for the series to start in Marrakech, especially as this is a track I won on in 2010 in my days racing in the WTCC.”
