More ERC giant-killing unlikely on Acropolis, says Chuchała
ERC2 leader Wojciech Chuchała has played down the likelihood of him competing with the top FIA European Rally Championship cars once more on this week's SEAJETS Acropolis Rally.
The Subaru Poland Rally Team driver has won every stage in ERC2 out of the two rounds run so far, and finished fifth overall on Rally Islas Canarias El Corte Inglés before narrowly missing out on a top 10 berth on the Circuit of Ireland.
He says however that the unforgiving nature of the gravel stages in Greece will make life difficult for him in his production-specification Impreza.
"We are fully focused on the next goal - the conquest of Greece," he said. "In the European Rally Championship, the vast diversity of the different rounds brings great excitement. No two corners are the same, nevermind the entire stages.
"Greece I like, and I think we will be competitive here. Exceptionally, we cannot look to compete with R5 cars, because these roads will be tough for the production car, but this does not mean that we will go slowly."
