Mazda to launch MyMazda App in Europe
Mazda Motor Europe is introducing the handy new MyMazda smartphone application (MyMazda App) free of charge to Mazda customers in Europe. It will initially be available for owners with iOS devices (iPhone, iPad and iPodTouch), but will then be extended to Android and Blackberry smartphones in the coming months. Amongst other functionalities, the MyMazda App will support Mazda customers with a quick and direct connection to roadside assistance. The MyMazda App will make Mazda customers some of the very first vehicle owners in Europe to have information about their vehicle and service history available anywhere, at any time.
The new Mazda customer-service App goes hand-in-hand with the unique Mazda Digital Service Record (DSR), which records all service events for Mazda vehicles at a centrally-held database. The MyMazda App takes full advantage of Mazda’s DSR system and allows registered owners to access stored information about their vehicle, its service record and their customer details. With a personal access code, owners can manage their data using the MyMazda App.
“Our customers are some of Europe’s most satisfied,” said Jørgen Olesen, Vice President, Logistics & Customer Service at Mazda Motor Europe, “and our new MyMazda App will help us to maintain and improve this even further. The key here is real-time information provided wherever you are: the MyMazda App not only reminds customers of their next scheduled service, respecting their driving patterns, but also shows them their complete service history. Additionally the MyMazda App locates the customer’s nearest dealer, and even allows them to request roadside assistance from the palm of their hand.”
Mazda Motor Europe’s new MyMazda App was launched at last year’s Bologna Motor Show in December in Italy, and is now also available to customers in Russia. More European markets will follow at the beginning of 2012.
