Mads Østberg (5th) said:

"The stages have been in good shape, but we struggled to find a perfect rhythm and need to get used to driving in these conditions. Everything feels a little new and I don't feel that I can push to the maximum at the moment; but we'll keep trying to improve."

Éric Camilli (11th) said:

"The pace is very fast and the conditions are not easy. We need to find the confidence to be fast in the high speed sections but I think that we are making progress with each new stage."

Elfyn Evans (2nd WRC 2) said:

"I'm pretty happy with our performance this morning. It's not going to be easy with all the locals ganging up on us but I think that we've done a good job and we'll look to continue that into the afternoon.

"I knew at the end of the second stage [SS3] that there was some more time to find. I didn't adapt to the changing grip as quickly as I could have, but everything else has been really good and I'm really enjoying these stages.

"All credit to the organisers as the stages are in a much better condition than what we were all expecting. They've done a lot of hard work and they've certainly pulled it out of the bag today!"

Eyvind Brynildsen (7th WRC 2) said:

"We've had some really good stages with lots of snow and ice and spectators, but unfortunately we have also had some technical issues. We're not 100 percent sure what it is, but there is a problem with the rear differential which means that we only have two-wheel drive for the rest of the day. That's the way it is, and we'll just focus on making it back to service where the mechanics can get everything back in perfect working order."
