Hyundai Motorsport gets WRC into the Euro 2016 spirit in Sardinia

Hyundai Motorsport has kicked off preparations for this weekend's Rally Italia Sardegna with a special football match involving many of WRC's leading drivers
In celebration of Hyundai's sponsorship of the UEFA Euro 2016 tournament, which begins on Friday, the drivers took part in a friendly match using a life-size inflatable table football.

UEFA Euro 2016 fever hit the service park at Rally Italia Sardegna this afternoon as Hyundai Motorsport played host to a special table football tournament ahead of this weekend's rally, round 6 of the 2016 FIA World Rally Championship (WRC).

Many of the WRC's drivers joined Hyundai Motorsport's four competing drivers in a friendly match using an inflatable, life-size table football pitch outside the team's hospitality unit in Alghero.

The fun event was held in celebration of Hyundai's sponsorship of the UEFA Euro 2016 event, which gets underway in France this Friday. There is plenty of WRC interest in Euro 2016 with eight of the participating countries also hosting a round of this year's Championship - France, Sweden, Portugal, Italy, Poland, Germany, Spain and Wales.

Hyundai Motorsport's drivers led by Thierry Neuville, Dani Sordo, Hayden Paddon and Kevin Abbring, were joined by Sébastien Ogier, Jari-Matti Latvala, Andreas Mikkelsen, Mads Østberg, Eric Camilli, Ott Tanak, Martin Prokop and Henning Solberg in a match refereed by WRC Live's reporter Colin Clark.
