Honest John readers tip their hats to the A7 Sportback

Readers of the hugely popular motoring website honestjohn.co.uk have voted in their droves for the A7 Sportback as the winner of an award category that is new to the site's page view-based honours for 2014 - Luxury Car of the Year.

The sleek five-door Sportback piqued the interest of readers who visited honestjohn.co.uk between April 2013 and April 2014 and scored the highest number of overall website page views in its category, according to data provided by Google Analytics. These visitor figures - a proportion of the 1.6 million total views recorded each month on the site - single the A7 Sportback out for the Luxury Car accolade.

The A7 Sportback is available with a variety of powerful petrol TFSI and TDI diesel engines, the most powerful of which is the 3.0 BiTDI quattro developing 313 PS and a prodigious 650Nm of torque from its V6 bi-turbo diesel engine. 0-62mph takes just 5.3 seconds and an electronically limited top speed of 155mph is possible where conditions allow, yet up to 44.8mpg is possible on a combined cycle, with emissions equating to 166g/km.

For those looking for an even more enthralling dynamic package, the explosive 420 PS S7 Sportback can also be ordered now, priced from £62,345 OTR. At the heart of this focused high performance package - which includes ‘S' sports adaptive air suspension and quattro all-wheel-drive with Sports differential - is a 4.0 V8 TFSI petrol engine capable of a 4.7-second 62mph sprint and a limited 155mph top speed.

In standard guise, the A7 Sportback benefits from an extensive list of standard equipment including features such as xenon headlamps with LED daytime running lights, the Audi drive select adaptive driving system, DAB digital radio, keyless go and SD card-based based MMI navigation.
