Homola hopes hard work will get him closer to the WTCR top 10

Mato Homola is hoping improvements to his PEUGEOT 308TCR will get him closer to the top 10 in the WTCR - FIA World Touring Car Cup presented by OSCARO.

Slovak racer Homola endured a tough visit to the Hungaroring, which is located 200 kilometres from his Bratislava home, making do with P20 in Race 1 and Race 3.

"It was really hard but at least this is a small relief," said Homola. "We still need almost two seconds [per lap] but I believe we will be able to analyse all the data and find some improvement.

"It is evident the car is still in development. We hope, that DG Sport Compétition and PEUGEOT Sport will improve the car."

Homola's challenge in Race 2 was curtailed by damaged steering following early contact. Meanwhile, Homola's DG Sport Compétition team-mate Aurélien Comte achieved a weekend best of P13 in Race 3.
