Homola gives best in WTCR but to no avail
Mato Homola left WTCR Race of Germany with no points to show for his endeavours despite insisting he gave his all.
Homola finished P14 twice and P15 once at the Nürburging Nordschleife but was frustrated at the lack of outright pace from his DG Sport Compétition PEUGEOT 308TCR on the 25.378-kilometre layout.
"I knew I was in no way in a position to compete on the straights, therefore I pushed it over the limits in a few places," said the Slovak racer.
To compound his frustration, Homola was handed a five-second penalty for a clash with Gordon Shedden in Race 3 of the WTCR - FIA World Touring Car Cup presented by OSCARO event.
Meanwhile, Homola's team-mate Aurélien Comte left Germany for his native France with a best finish of P13 in Race 2.
