Help at hand for new Hyundai-powered WTCR recruits

WTCR OSCARO title winner Gabriele Tarquini will share his knowledge of the Hyundai i30 N TCR with Nicky Catsburg and Augusto Farfus to allow them “get up to speed as quickly as possible”.

Catsburg and Farfus will join Tarquini and the Italian’s 2018 team-mate Norbert Michelisz on the grid in the 2019 WTCR – FIA World Touring Car Cup presented by OSCARO.

Tarquini played a key role in the development of the i30 N TCR prior to his title-winning WTCR OSCARO campaign in 2018 with the BRC Racing Team. He now plans to pass on key tips to Hyundai’s new customer racing recruits.

Following pre-Christmas testing in Portugal, when Catsburg and Farfus, got their first taste of the multiple race-winning Korean machine, Tarquini said: “The test was a nice opportunity to work with Nicky and Augusto, and pass on some of the knowledge I have from developing and racing the car to help them get up to speed as quickly as possible.”
