GTSPRINT and Supercar Challenge at Zolder
The Zolder GT International event took-off today at the Belgian venue with two tight sessions of free practice. The race meeting is involving Teams and Drivers of the GTSPRINT INTERNATIONAL SERIES and the Supercar Challenge in what is set to be a top-notch field in grand touring competition.
In a day where variable weather set the tone for all runners, puzzling the teams in terms of their set-up choices, the quickest lap was logged by the United Autosport McLaren MP4-12C of Brits Jim and Glynn Geddie (1'31"619). Glauco Solieri (Porsche 911 GT3 - Autorlando), Fernando Croce (Ferrari 458 Italia - Ombra Racing Team) and the Mario Cordoni-Massimo Mantovani duo on a 458 fielded by Easy Race were followed by Steven Goldstein and Antonio De La Reina, on their GTS Cup Porsche 997.
