ERC event winner Magalhães in the points on return home

Bruno Magalhães made a strong start to life as a Hyundai Team Portugal driver, just missing out on a top-five finish on Rali Serras de Fafe in his debut in an i20 R5.

Partnered by long-term co-driver Hugo Magalhães, three-time Portuguese champion Bruno Magalhães set top-six times on seven of the event’s 14 stages last weekend.

He finished 2.7s behind double Portuguese champion José Pedro Fontes, with Ricardo Moura fourth for ARC Sport.

Magalhães will be back on FIA European Rally Championship duty on next month’s Azores Rallye, when Azorean ace Moura and a number of other leading Portuguese drivers will also be in action on the spectacular gravel event.
