Comte praises WTCR team DG for Slovakia podium

Aurélien Comte has praised his DG Sport Compétition team for transforming his PEUGEOT 308TCR into a podium contender at WTCR Race of Slovakia last week.

The Frenchman started Race 1 at the Slovakia Ring in second place but slipped to fourth due to tyre temperature issues. And it got worse in Race 2 when he fell from ninth to P14.

But there was a dramatic upturn in form for Race 3 with Comte finishing second - from second on the grid - behind Norbert Michelisz.

"I am really happy," Comte said afterwards. "Qualifying was really strong, then I struggled in Race 1 and 2. But we made some changes and we had a really good car in Race 3."
