Chuchała gets more comfortable in ERC2
Wojciech Chuchała has built a more comfortable margin in ERC2 during the morning loop on day two of the SEAJETS Acropolis Rally.
The Subaru Poland Rally Team driver was pushed hard by Péter Ranga during day one, but more than doubled his advantage on SS7 from 28.7s to 59.3s. That increased to 1m17.4s over the following two stages.
A penalty overnight dropped Tibor Érdi behind Jose Luis Jacquet Rios in the battle for the final podium position in ERC2, but the Hungarian reclaimed the place on SS7 and is now over a minute clear.
Chuchała was not quickest on all three stages, with Juan Carlos Alonso beating him by 5.9s after restarting this morning. Giacomo Scattolon has also restarted, and Alonso got ahead of the Italian for fourth in class on SS9.
