Botka to be first on the ERC Acropolis road, Kajetanowicz heads for the back

Dávid Botka will open the road on leg one of the SEAJETS Acropolis Rally, as Kajetan Kajetanowicz chose to run at the back of pack in the FIA European Rally Championship's start order selection.

As quickest in this morning's Qualifying Stage, Kajetanowicz was first to choose his road position. The desire to avoid sweeping the road had to be balanced with weather considerations, but the LOTOS Rally Team driver chose the final available position in the order, 15th.

Alexey Lukyanuk, who was 0.095 seconds slower than Kajetanowicz on the Qualifying Stage, opted for 10th place on the road, with R5 debutant Ralfs Sirmacis picking 11th after his third-placed time. Jaromír Tarabus, Wojciech Chuchała and Raul Jeets went for 14th, 12th and 13th respectively.

Botka, who was 11th quickest after complaining of a lack of power from his Citroën, went for first place despite a choice of the top five positions. ERC2 drivers Jose Luis Jacquet Rios, Juan Carlos Alonso, Giacomo Scattolon and Péter Ranga will follow him into the first stage.
