Bostanci’s team eyes ERC Junior expansion

The team behind Murat Bostanci's ERC3 win on the latest round of the FIA European Rally Championship could expand into the ERC Junior Championship next season.

As well as Bostanci, Castrol Ford Team Türkiye fielded two additional Fiesta R2T cars on the SEAJETS Acropolis Rally for drivers Buğra Banaz and Ümit Can Özdemir.

The pair, who came first and second in the R2 class in the Turkish championship in 2015, set competitive times and finished less than 10 seconds apart in 16th and 17th overall.

Bostanci, who himself has ambitions of stepping up to R5 machinery for 2017, said: "For the next season Castrol Ford Team Türkiye will also be running other young Turkish drivers in ERC Junior."
