Boss happy after first tests of Lynk & Co WTCR racer

Alexander Murdzevski Schedvin, Head of Motorsport at Geely Group Motorsport, is “happy with progress” after the firm completed initial testing of its all-new Lynk & Co 03 TCR.

Thed Björk and Yvan Muller have driven the Geely Group Motorsport-built racer in Portugal (Estoril) and Sweden (Mantorp Park) with further testing planned during the coming months.

“We are happy with the progress so far and the car has been reliable in the first tests,” said Murdzevski Schedvin. “The evaluation programme goes according to plan and we have a couple of intense months ahead of us to secure a competitive car for our customer teams.”

Geely Group Motorsport will conduct further testing with the Lynk & Co 03 TCR over the winter. Meanwhile, Lynk & Co Cyan Racing, which will run the car in the WTCR – FIA World Touring Car Cup presented by OSCARO in 2019, will take delivery of its race cars next spring in time for the new season.
