Better luck wanted by ERC stalwart Tlusťák

Antonín Tlusťák is hoping for a change of fortunes on next week's Azores Airlines Rallye after an unlucky start to the 2016 FIA European Rally Championship.

Tlusťák, an ever-present in the ERC, upgraded to a ŠKODA Fabia R5 for this season, but suffered a gearing issue on Rally Islas Canarias El Corte Inglés and a problem with the fuel tank on the SEAJETS Acropolis Rally, while he struggled with his tyre choices on the Circuit of Ireland.

"We really dont have good luck with our new car," said the Czech driver. "I was satisfied with my performance on Canarias and in Greece, but we have lost chances to gain good points.

"Our car has undergone a detailed inspection since the Acropolis and now we are really looking forward to the Azores. I hope that I will follow my preformance from last year, when I was fighting for points until our broken wheel on the famous Sete Cidades stage."
