Bennani “100 per cent re-boosted” in WTCR

Mehdi Bennani will continue his WTCR - FIA World Touring Car Cup presented by OSCARO campaign "100 per cent re-boosted" following his maiden victory last time out in China.

Bennani had endured a tough run following a huge accident while dicing for the lead with Sébastien Loeb Racing team-mate Rob Huff at WTCR Race of Portugal in June.

But the Volkswagen Golf GTI TCR driver's victory in Race 2 at WTCR Race of China-Wuhan has put him firmly back on track heading to Suzuka this weekend for WTCR JVCKENWOOD Race of Japan.

"China was a very positive weekend for me," said the Moroccan. "On Friday and Saturday I was afraid that I wouldn't be on the pace, but the team worked really hard to find the right set-up balance to enable us to fight at the front. I'm very satisfied, I missed the taste of victory and I can't wait to tackle the next round. I'm 100 per cent re-boosted."
