Alfa Romeo TCR by Romeo Ferraris for WTCR

Two Alfa Romeo Giulietta TCR by Romeo Ferraris are set for FIA World Touring Car Cup (WTCR) action in 2018.

Based on previous announcements it means five car types built to the TCR technical regulations are in line to be represented when the series begins in Marrakech, Morocco from 7-8 April.

Michela Cerruti, Romeo Ferraris Operations Manager, said: "We are delighted to announce the entry of our cars in the FIA WTCR. For our company it is a big step forward, as after two seasons in the TCR International we will enter an FIA-sanctioned world series, providing technical assistance to our cars. The proposition is certainly very interesting and we rely a lot on the WTCR promoters and organisers to deliver a winning package. The introduction of TCR cars will certainly raise the level of both the competition and the show on track, in a series that has always attracted huge numbers of spectators and viewers."

Drivers of the two Italian machines, which are being entered independently of the Romeo Ferraris, will be announced in due course.
