24H Le Mans - Hour Seven

At the start of the seventh hour of racing it was the turn of the No.7 Toyota to be involved in an incident. At the entry to the Porsche curves, Nakajima was unable to see the compact Nissan DeltaWing and the contact between the two cars resulted in the innovative 'Garage 56' car being stranded out on track with engineers talking to driver Motoyama about how he might be able to get the car back to the pits. Audi now have a firm 1-2-3 lead after Toyota's problems.

In LMP2, Oak Racing continue to hold 1-2 at the top of the class and the leading Morgan Nissan is now 7th overall. In GTE Pro, there have been more changes throughout the hour with the No.74 Corvette still at the head of a Corvette-Ferrari-Porsche battle. In GTE Am, it is also a Corvette at the top, the No.50 Larbre car ahead of the No.67 IMSA Performance Matmut Porsche.
