12 Rallye Lausitz

Wednesday, 19. 10. 2011 - 19:07, Daniel Mandzi

12 Rallye Lausitz

The end of summer and arrival of autumn always means the coming of the last round of the Lausitz Cup. As the term of the rally was moved to the break of September and October, spectators gathered near Boxberg sooner than in previous years. Golden leaves had not started  falling down to earth yet, when one of the most spectacular rallies in our part of Europe took place at the ex-mine areas in Germany.

12. ADMV-Lausitz-Rallye,which is a round of Deutsche Rallye Serie (a kind of the second league), was again a round of the Lausitz Cup. It was also the arena of the final struggle for the championship in this multinational competition.... The scorage before the rally made the situation open for a few drivers fight fiercely for the titles. The leader was Eric Karlsson in an unusual Audi TT. Also Jiri Tosovski was in the forefront by the end of the season, awaiting his opportunity for the final success. Morever, Marcin Abramowski was a Polish hope for podium in the championship. Finally, the 8-times German champion, Matthias Kahle who lost the championship just at the first round of the cup in 2010, could still interfere the situation.

The situation lasted until the last week before the rally, when all the above mentioned were present at the entry list.

Unfortunately, the hope of Polish spectators - Dr. Abram - did not go for in the rally. Then, the only chance for a good result for the Poles, was Mariusz Woźniczko in Fiest R2.

The competitors of Lausitz Cup looked forward to drive 13 gravel special stages.

The first stage was already a strong stroke of the one who's name shall now be pronounced .... ;)

What's happened next?  ... did the one, who everyone counted on, actually win ? Who retired and lost everything? Who was the fastest driver? You can read it in this report ... 3, 2, 1 ... gravel !

 OS - 5 „Nochten 1"

Drivers who submitted only to Lausitz Cup began their fight for points and titles at the fifth special stage, which was the initial stage od Day 2.

The first stage was a strong accent of Matthias Kahle (Fabia S2000), the leader of the rally after Day 1. He finished the stage 30.5 seconds before the best of the Poels, Filip Nivette in Lancer  IX. The third position at this stage was taken by Jiri Tosovski in another Evo IX. The further places were taken by Mikulenka, Scheidhammer, Ryznar ...

OS - 6 „Arena B 1"

This stage results in another victory of Kahle. The second driver at the stage is Kiri Tosovski (Lancer Evo IX), who at the moment is 1,22.7 behind the leader.  Nivette is third and knocks  the forefont's door, as the distance to the second position in general classification of the cup is just 13.4 seconds

OS - 7 „Mulkwitz 1"

The third stage is a kind of a routine - Kahle wins and now is more the one and a half minute ahed. The best Polish driver, Nivette is still on the third position.

 Łukasz Ryznar (Kadett Gsi) retires

The results after the first run of all three stages is as follows: 1 - Kahle, 2 - Tosovski, 3 - Nivette,

OS - 8 „Nochten 2"

The second run of the stages increases the speed. Still, Kahle wins before Tosovski and ... the Polish crew Filip Nivette/Przemysław Zawada (Lancer Evo IX) retires. As a result, Alois Scheidhammer/Wili Trautsmannberger, in a curious pel Astra H Tdi, catch up the podium.

OS - 9 „Arena B 2"

It becomes clear that no one is capable of stopping Matthias Kahle on his way to victory in another round of Lausitz Cup and in the whole cup. If he collects 20 points for winning the general classification, his supremacy in the cup will be crushing. And... it happens.  Matthias with Peter Goebel win the stage and they're 2.5 minutes before Tosovski, and far ahead  Scheidhammer.

The best position among Polish crews is now occupied by Aaron Domżała i Jakub Gerber (Fiesta R2)

OS - 10 „Mulkwitz 2"

This stage is also a peaceful drive of  Skoda Auto Deutschland leader - Matthias Kahle. The further places are taken, one might say -as usual, byTosovski and Scheidhammer. Kahle's advantage is 3m21.2s before Tosovski.

OS - 11 „Reichwalde B 1"

The longest stage was a combination of two other stages. The longer the stage is, the more advantageous the typical rallycars are. According to the rule, Kahle badly beats Tosovski in the results. Also the distance between place 2 and 3 increases up to 4m49.2s.

W tym momencie kolejność wydaje się już ustalona i tylko ewentualny pech, który nieraz już prześladował Saksończyka, może odebrać Kahle'mu zwycięstwo ...

OS - 12 „Rundkurs Sprey"

As the second run of the longest stage is cancelled for the safety reasons, it is the last stage of the rally. The aim of all crews is a finish line, without any stupid mistakes. The stage consists of two laps of a short stage.

The best result - 5m18.4s - is made by Fabia S2000 - Matthias Kahle ... the orders remains the same - second place + 5m46.0s Tosovski, third place + 6m22.7s Scheidhammer. The podium of the rally looks the same. The final step of the podium deserves a special ankowledgment.  A kind German driver achieved a great result in a diesel power engine Astra, defeated only by Fabia S2000 and Lancer EVO IX.

Tomáš Mansfeld;mg-5441.jpg

To sum up, after 12 special stages of the total length of 92.46 kms, drivers reached the finish of the last round and the whole Lausitz Cup. The winners of the last round were Matthias Kahle/Peter Goebel in Fabia S2000 representing Skoda Auto Deutschland.

The 8-times champion of Germany agreed to account his participation in12. ADMV-Lausitz-Rallye to the classification of Lausitz Cup 2011. He collected 40 points and eventually won the title of the winner of Lausitz Cup 2011.

Due to a bad luck in 13. Thermica rally Luzicke Hory and absence at Karkonoski Rally, he did't manage to win the Cup last year. However, as the fortunes change, a kind German unquestionably won the highest step of the podium in 2011.
