Jänner Rallye 2015 - Shakedown Highlights

Kajetan Kajetanowicz set the top time on the Qualifying Stage for the Internationale Jännerrallye powered by GaGa Energy. The Polish driver will now have the advantage of being the first to select his running position for tomorrow’s opening day of competition in the 2015 FIA European Rally Championship. Co-driven by Jarosław Baran, LOTOS Rally Team's Kajetanowicz set a 1min 22.8sec best in his new Ford Fiesta R5 over the 1.99-kilometre Freistadt/Trölsberg stage – a test made tricky by heavy overnight snowfall. Robert Consani (Peugeot 207 S2000) was second quickest, 00.7 seconds behind Kajetanowicz – despite a moment between the last corner and the flying finish. Alexey Lukyanuk was an excellent third fastest in his Fiesta R5, despite only 20kms of pre-event testing in the Ford. Jaromír Tarabus was fourth after putting his ŠKODA Fabia S2000 briefly off the road on the slippery last corner, while rising Austrian star Hermann Neubauer was the top local driver in fifth in his Fiesta S2000.
