You can look but you can’t touch: WTCR racer Bennani on mastering Marrakech

Home hero Mehdi Bennani says Circuit Moulay El Hassan is all about finding the balance between all-out attack and driving within the limits.

The semi-permanent track in Marrakech's Agdal quarter hosts the opening weekend of the all-new WTCR - FIA World Touring Car Cup from 7-8 April and Moroccan racer Bennani will be the centre of attention in his Sébastien Loeb Racing Volkswagen Golf GTI TCR.

But away from the huge public following, Bennani is totally focused on getting it right on the 2.971-kilometre layout.

"Sometimes you need to go on the limit, sometimes you need to flirt a bit with the wall," Bennani said. "You need to do everything on the limit but you can't touch the wall so it's a mix between."
