WTCR would be a dream, says swift Swiss Richard
Promising Swiss driver Kris Richard says competing in the inaugural FIA World Touring Car Cup would be a dream come true.
The 2016 FIA European Touring Car Cup winner and TCR Germany frontrunner from 2017 impressed on his step up to the World Touring Car Championship in Japan and Qatar last season.
He's now working to be on the grid when WTCR begins in Marrakech, Morocco from 7-8 April.
"It‘s a dream to compete in WTCR this season," said Richard, 23. "But in motorsport most drivers are not able to decide and it's the same with me. At the moment my bank account says no to WTCR but until the season starts we have some time that I will use to work on my dream."
Richard is keeping active over the winter with an appearance in this weekend's Dubai 24 Hours when he forms part of the Sorg Rennsport BMW line-up along with four other drivers.
