WTCR save of the year? Ehrlacher has it covered
Hugo Lloris has got nothing on his fellow Frenchman Yann Ehrlacher when it comes to making great saves.
While Lloris remains France's established first-choice goalkeeper and captain of the national side, Ehrlacher also has what it takes when pulling off the seemingly impossible is involved.
Ehrlacher was sent into a spin following a collision with Pepe Oriola on the run down to the tight Lisboa Corner on the opening lap of Race 2 at WTCR Race of Macau last weekend.
Despite nudging trackside barriers at 160kph as he completed a 360-degree spin in his Honda Civic Type R TCR, the ALL-INKL.COM Münnich Motorsport driver miraculously held on to sixth position.
Accompanying footage of the moment in a tweet, Ehrlacher wrote: "Touch the wall, catch it back and lose no places. I can probably go to the save of the year awards".
Ehrlacher placed P10 in the final WTCR - FIA World Touring Car Cup presented by OSCARO classification. He scored wins in Hungary and Netherlands and led the standings for a time.
