WTCR’s Oriola reveals life-time passion for cars

Pepe Oriola, who challenged for the inaugural WTCR – FIA World Touring Car Cup presented by OSCARO title – has been infatuated with cars from early age, adding that it’s a passion that “still burns” strong to this day.

Oriola gave Cupra and Team OSCARO by Campos Racing its first WTCR win at the Slovakia Ring in July and was one of seven drivers embroiled in the title fight at the season showdown in Macau earlier this month.

In a video recently published across WTCR OSCARO’s social media channels, Oriola explained how his road to becoming a professional touring car driver began.

“When I was one my dad gave me an electric car and I would spend hours in it,” said Oriola. “That was the birthplace of my passion, today that passion still burns. My life revolves around it.”
