WTCR racer Guerrieri for Honda GT action

Esteban Guerrieri will sample Honda power of a different kind at the Red Bull Ring in Austria this weekend.

The WTCR - FIA World Touring Car Cup presented by OSCARO race winner is contesting the latest round of the ADAC GT Masters in a Honda NSX GT3 run by Honda Team Schubert.

He will link up with Philipp Frommenwiler at the Austrian Grand Prix venue. And while the Honda-supported Argentine star is new to GT3 racing, he drove the NSX during the FIA GT3 Balance of Performance test at Paul Ricard, France, earlier this year on behalf of car builder JAS Motorsport, the outfit behind the Civic Type R TCR he races in WTCR OSCARO.

"Esteban has proved many times in the past that he is fast from the word go," said Team Manager Frank Link. "After his test in the Honda NSX GT3, I have no doubts in that regard."

Guerrieri's agreement to race in ADAC GT Masters is currently a one-off. The 33-year-old will return to WTCR OSCARO duty at Vila Real, Portugal, from 22-24 June with ALL-INKL.COM Münnich Motorsport.
