Wrc stars kick-off Germany Rally week
Early arrivals in trier for next week's Adac Rallye Deutschland (18 - 21 august) have the opportunity to meet some of the WRC stars and young German talent in the city centre.
Hyundai's Thierry Neuville, who scored the first of his two WRC victories in Germany in 2014, and M-Sport's Mads Østberg head the drivers attending an interview session in Trier's Hauptmarkt square on Monday afternoon.
The duo will be joined by ADAC sport foundation beneficiary Fabian Kreim, who will drive a Skoda Fabia R5 in WRC 2 on the asphalt event, round nine of the FIA World Rally Championship, and local hero Johannes Dambach.
The panel will be completed by Volkswagen test driver Dieter Depping, who won the rally in 1994, 1996 and 1997, and clerk of the course Alfred Rommelfanger. The event starts at 14.45.
Hauptmarkt also hosts a driver autograph session on Thursday evening (18 August) ahead of the start ceremony beneath the mighty Porta Nigra Roman gate. Drivers will be presented to the fans before driving their cars through the city centre streets. Autograph signing starts at 19.30 with the start scheduled for 20.15.
