Williams announces Kubica, Sirotkin to join Stroll for Abu Dhabi test
Williams has confirmed that Robert Kubica and Sergey Sirotkin will join Formula 1 regular Lance Stroll for the post-Abu Dhabi tyre test.
The outfit said the three drivers would split driving duties across the test, which takes place on the Tuesday and Wednesday after next Sunday's season finale.
Kubica, who is believed to be the front-runner to land a race seat with Williams in 2018 alongside Stroll, will drive in the opening morning session before handing the car over to Stroll in the afternoon.
Sirotkin will take over the car for Wednesday morning and then will hand it back to Kubica later that afternoon so the Polish driver can finish the test.
In a statement, Williams said it hoped to benefit from the different feedback that the three drivers would give it regarding Pirelli's 2018 rubber.
"The test is aimed at evaluating 2018 candidate tyres on behalf of the F1 tyre supplier Pirelli," said the team.
"Williams are excited to have this opportunity to asses the new tyres across such an interesting range of drivers: Lance, as confirmed race driver for 2018, Robert with his huge experience and Sergey as a very promising young talent in F1."
