Verstappen is a WTCR fan
Red Bull driver Max Verstappen is a fan of the WTCR - FIA World Touring Car Cup presented by OSCARO. During his visit to the Jumbo Racedagen featuring WTCR Race of Netherlands at Zandvoort, the Dutch Formula One star told Alexandra Legouix live on Eurosport that he watches the all-action series.
"I said already after the first two events we should create a big event around it as well, not just demonstration laps and of course for the WTCR joining this event is great and I really enjoy watching it as well."
Verstappen, pictured with local WTCR OSCARO racer Tom Coronel, also praised the support of the Dutch fans: "I really enjoy this weekend. It's great to see and they also stay for every single series. They're just very passionate about racing in general."
Yann Ehrlacher, Aurélien Comte and Jean-Karl Vernay shared the wins at WTCR Race of Netherlands with Ehrlacher moving to the top of the championship standings.
