Tsouloftas makes big strides on ERC Tarmac debut

Alexandrous Tsouloftas made his debut on a sealed-surface round of the FIA European Rally Championship, finishing fourth in the ERC1 Junior category on Rally Islas Canarias.

Despite the enormity of the challenge, the Cypriot was able to learn plenty and improve his pace considerably by the end of the event in his Toksport WRT ŠKODA Fabia R5.

“Overall I’m really happy,” Tsouloftas said afterwards. “It was a great weekend of experience for us from the beginning to the end. We improved every stage, we had no accidents, no drama apart from a puncture. Once we got the confidence we could move further up. We started off with two seconds per kilometre off the pace but we got it down to one second. I’m really happy we could increase our performance.”
