SUPERSTARS WORLD set for debut race at Slovakia Ring
The SUPERSTARS INTERNATIONAL SERIES is ready to be back on-track. After the series' successful outing at Brno, Teams and Drivers are ready to line-up for the first time at Slovakia Ring on the next 9th of June.
The 5.9 Kilometer-long Slovakian race course is a new venue opened in 2009 featuring fast flowing corners. In just a few years, it established its name in the calendars of the top motor racing championships in the business now including SUPERSTARS WORLD. The SWR-promoted championships, SUPERSTARS and GTSPRINT, will be having a first taste of Slovakiaring for Round 3 of 2013.
With many top-class stars are set to be back running, former F.1 racer Vitantonio Liuzzi, driving for the manufacturer-supported Mercedes-AMG Romeo Ferraris team, will be eager to fight for wins after dominating the first race of the year at Monza. Now running 2nd in the championship, he will be paired on a Mercedes C63 AMG machine by team-mate and championship leader Thomas Biagi.
"In less than two weeks I'll be racing for the first time at the Slovakiaring - told Liuzzi - I hope it will be well-suited for our Mercedes. On paper, its long straight should give us an edge on our rivals but I see BMW and Audi becoming more competitive than ever. I want to reclaim the points lost in Race 2 at Brno. There's a long road ahead of us in the championship, and having my team-mate as a main rival is pretty challenging. I think that Gianni Morbidelli will give us an hard time in the next few races though. My goal for this round is to score another great win".
