Somebody else also wanted the outside line: Coronel on WTCR race exit

Tom Coronel experienced the highs and lows of the WTCR - FIA World Touring Car Cup presented by OSCARO when the series visited his home track, Zandvoort, over the Dutch bank holiday weekend.

After claiming a season-best seventh in Race 1, his Race 3 challenge ended almost before it had begun following early contact with Zsolt Szabó.

"I just made a terrible start and finally I was stuck completely on the inside," said the Boutsen Ginion Racing Honda driver. "I wanted to take the outside at Hugenholtz, which is normally a good one, but somebody else also wanted to take the outside and we came together and that was it."
